Try to find a decent e-book anywhere.

Good old “Lulu” is all excited about them, but the hype she unloads associates her business in my mind with the we-do-everything publishing services I’ve come to dislike intensely because of their superficiality and tasteless boasting.

But e-books aren’t all bad. How else can a person distribute thousands of copies of a book without spending a penny for paper and ink? What is easier to produce than an e-book? And how else can one lavish a book with full-color book illustrations at no additional cost?

Those credentials are irresistible. And so on this date, Griffith Publishing has stepped over the fence and is now offering e-book services. We will not accept every book that comes our way. We will not post a book that is not written, edited, and designed in a style that is readable and communicates clearly with the reader, but we will work with you to be sure your book reaches all of those standards. Finally, just as with our printed books, we won’t consider manuscripts that in our opinion are in poor taste.

So watch this space and see what happens.
